Eight views of Katano
There are "eight scenic points" or "eight views" (八景) in all sorts of municipalities in and around Osaka. I've seen and photographed innumerable hakkei over the years, but for some reason I'm making 交野八景 the first to be documented here.

As mentioned in my M100 log, the path leading up to this waterfall makes for a pleasant walk, and it appears to be quite popular with the locals.

This mountain and the surrounding area is loaded with well-marked and well-walked paths. Lots of fun climbing and exploring the area.

This is a lovely path, and gives quite direct access to the northern edge of Ikoma, an area I once cycled around a lot many years ago.

A steep but well-paved path leads one easily to this temple. Very impressive boulders nearby.

An easy find and a very scenic walk in from Kisaichi station.

This is the only really tricky one; even getting to the sign shown in the photo above was a bit of a challenge, but more challenging is the fact that the existence of an "official" sign (for 交野八景, not simply 大阪府指定名勝) is a total mystery. I got in touch with Katano city hall, and apparently there is no record of whether or not such a sign was even put up in the first place.
妙見の観桜

This shrine is wonderful, and the sakura blossoms are superb. Very popular with the locals in the spring, as mentioned in my M100 log.

A nice shrine with a meteor-like rock placed up on a pedestal. The surrounding area has numerous paths and playgrounds and hikes to enjoy, really a very nice area.
